Email Verification & Deliverability: SPF, DKIM, DMARC Explained
Great leads are wasted if your email lands in spam. Verification and sender authentication protect your domain reputation and your inbox-placement rate.
Verification: syntax + MX
The first checks are cheap and effective: is the address well-formed, and does the domain have valid mail (MX) records? LeadGen runs both before a lead is marked verified.
Authentication: SPF, DKIM, DMARC
- SPF lists which servers may send for your domain.
- DKIM cryptographically signs your mail so receivers can verify it.
- DMARC tells receivers what to do when SPF/DKIM fail, and reports abuse.
Content & volume signals
Unsubscribe links, sensible daily volume, and TLS all feed an inbox-risk score. LeadGen’s deliverability checker combines DNS, authentication, and copy signals into a single grade with prioritised fixes.
Warm up new domains slowly and keep bounce rates low — reputation is earned over weeks, not minutes.
